Award Categories

The Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB) and Nova Scotia Labour and Workforce Development (LWD) are pleased to announce that the second annual Mainstay Awards will be held in September 2010 at the Westin Nova Scotian Hotel. The Mainstay Awards celebrate progressive organizations and individuals who promote and operate within a safety culture in their workplace in Nova Scotia. Sixteen awards will be handed out in seven different categories. They are:

Safety Award of Excellence - Organization
Safety Award of Excellence - Individual
Safety Transformation
Special Award for Small Business
Individual Safety Champion
Employer Safety Champion
Employer Return to Work Champion

Employers, groups and individuals can be nominated by their peers, associations or affiliates, or apply for the awards themselves.

Being a winner or a contender for one of these awards publicly positions your organization as an example of excellence for workplace safety in Nova Scotia.
