How to Enter

Entry for the Mainstay Awards is open to individuals, businesses, associations, companies, partnerships and other organizations in Nova Scotia that have demonstrated effective injury prevention and return-to-work management programs, initiatives or leadership.

  1. Complete the entry form and checklist, along with your submission. There is no limit to the number of categories you can enter, however you will be required to complete a separate written submission for each one.

  2. Prepare a summary of your safety initiative and include it at the front of your submission (maximum one page).

  3. Your submission must be typed and address each of the assessment criteria for that category. For your entry to be considered by the judges, you must address every criterion. Keep your responses brief and relevant – no more than a half a typed page for each is recommended.

  4. Include with your entry all information that has been requested as part of the assessment criteria and any other supporting information that you think might help the judges better understand your initiative. If you do provide extra information on CD ROM, DVD or video, please keep it brief.

  5. If you wish, please include with your entry your company logo and photos of your initiative to a maximum of six. You can supply your photos as prints or digitally. If you choose to supply your photos digitally, they must be submitted on CD ROM in high-resolution (300 dpi) format.

  6. If you are submitting your entry via mail, please submit three copies of your completed entry, one of which should be in an unbound, paper-clipped format. Keep a copy for your records, as entries will not be returned.

Your completed submission, entry form and any other supporting material must be received by end of business day, Monday, March 8, 2010.
